Simplify, energize, and weird up your marketing.

You should be a bigger deal

Are you a weird girl with a business who wants to make headlines?

Fantastic! Only one problem...

Marketing feels like seeing a Cybertruck pass you on the street - enraged that you have to interact and appalled by the ugliness.

AKA - You know you need to market but it feels like a miserable corporate slog.

While you sweat over every word, some loud mouth says the most basic thing you ever heard and makes $50K overnight.

You hate marketing, avoid it, so don't get:

  • Published in the New York Times, Huffington Post, Wall Street journal, and other big time publications
  • Sold out plus a waitlist coaching & programs
  • Your books hitting best seller lists
  • Real, positive impact on the world through your glorious creativity
  • What if the way you learned to market your business is the only thing holding you back from stardom?
  • Leave everything you know at the door...

Be your weird self on the internet and watch your sales soar

You've twisted yourself in knots to fit traditional marketing rules.

That's done.

Instead, center your creative weirdness and let marketing fit YOU.

Come inside and see the star you can be.

Welcome to...

Headliner House

THE place where creative geniuses get the audience they deserve.

Make marketing your new passion project

Let somebody else track the metrics and KPIs.

In Headliner House, you lead with creativity.
So your marketing becomes just as brilliant as your work.

And your ideal clients can't wait to see...and buy...more.

It's not a thing you have to do.
Marketing's a new creative project you get to do.

"Basically a free commercial for my business"

"I knew joining HH was a great idea, but I never expected to write 8 stories for Business Insider, one of which just landed me a
2.5 minute segment on the Seattle news!!!
It's basically a free commercial for both my house/pet sitting business AND my life coaching business, which is just so incredible and amazing that I'm still in shock after it ran on Monday!

-Amber Campbell

In Headliner House we go H.A.M.

3 Pillars of the membership to bring out your voice and
override imposter syndrome.

Headliner Headspace

Marketing will never matter if you subconsciously think
"this probably won't work."

Every week, we meet live and start with quick mindset shifts to embody the wonderfulness of what you do and let that confidence shine through your copy.

That alone will double your sales and sign ups.

Anti-Perfectionist Action

"Let me just tweak this one little thing..."
No! Imagine a sassy cat batting the pen out of your hand.

Your work is already better than most everyone out there.

Every week, you get live timed sessions to get your marketing done and sent.

Once a month, you get feedback on a pitch or piece of copy. Not generic advice. Exactly what will make YOUR work better right NOW.

So you can keep moving forward and making cash.

Masterpiece Marketing

You officially have permission to unleash your creativity.

Every week, get pitch, produce, and promote prompts to engage your creative brain FIRST. Then make it marketing.

Which could mean using Little Mermaid lyrics in sales emails, writing a limerick for an ad, or dressing up like a ghost for your workshop.

Not just for the sake of being weird. But because it puts you in the spotlight for your ideal clients.

Then, watch your visibility explode.

All in all Headliner House...

Takes away "do I have to post 117 different places?"  and lets you focus on the marketing tasks that make the biggest difference for your business.

All while being as strange and creative as possible.

 "LOVE IT!!
It’s always so hard for me to really focus in any way that’s productive.
Headliner House gave me focus and made the whole process easier.”

Madeline Rae

How it's worked for other Headliners...

"Joining Headliner House was one of the best decisions I made as a recovering copywriter who wanted to fall in love with writing again. Amber is, of course, fabulous...but the people she attracts are just as lovely.
She's created the warmest, most welcoming space
where we are free to be our creative selves. That sense of community and support was key to me getting comfortable putting myself out there.
One front page story in the New York Times and an interview on CNN later, and I can happily say my shell of shyness has been cracked wide open.
I'm confidently getting my voice out into the world, will be publishing my first book next week, and I'm making money writing the kind of stories the world needs to read."

Who is Headliner House NOT for?

This might not be the right fit if you...

  • Want to be staff writer: HH is about building your own platform, so it's not too helpful for getting regular jobs.
  • Won’t promote your work: Are you hesitant/worried/feeling nauseous about promoting your work? That’s fine. But if you aren’t willing to be a little uncomfortable and get coaching and support to get through that discomfort, then this program is a miss.
  • Need an exact, step by step method: Will things be structured and simplified? Yes. But there's no time where I can just tell you what to do, you do it, and it works perfectly. This House encourages creative freedom, which also means you'll make choices and mistakes. Cool. You'll learn and grow a million times faster that way.
  • Are a jerk: Jerks aren't allowed.

"Headliner House is a constant source of motivation and reinforcement.
I gain inspiration from every session and feel like the other members of the  community are truly my friends, whom I can trust with my questions, fears, and dilemmas regarding this industry.

I've completed a manuscript for a coffee table book on art and a children's book since I joined Headliner House - both commissioned by a high-end hotel client - and landed my first publishing contract for a book I'm currently working on.

Joining the membership is a no-brainer. Regardless of your genre, actual occupation in the field, or aspirations, you will gain wisdom and insight from this group, and it always, always leaves you feeling better than when you first logged on. "

Wanna talk to me about Headliner House?
Email me at Amber@AmberPetty.com or voice/text message me on Voxer anytime.
I won't give you a sales pitch. Just honest info on whether this is the right thing for you.

I can't promise results.

But here are some things that happened to other Headline House members.

They've been published everywhere from Vogue, Huffington Post, Business Insider, the Wall Street Journal, the New Yorker, Nat Geo, and more.

They've been featured on the front page of the New York Times, spoke as an expert on CNN, appeared on NBC's national online news, and had a full 2.5 minute feature on a major Seattle channel.

Authors are publishing books and building a solid platform to keep the sales high.

One member just created an entirely new business plan after only a few months in the membership.

You could sell 3 articles and make all your money back for the program. Or you might sell coaching or workshops and make that in a day! All things members have done.

The chances of making your money back (and more) is high.

Yet, I don't control the world, so it's BS to make any hard promises.

But, there's one thing I can guarantee - If you commit to  marketing regularly, you'll feel amazing. Your audience will grow.

And you'll feel the relief of really going after your goals. Not "I should be doing more."

Nope. You'll go to sleep satisfied that you're truly headed for your headliner spot.

"I gave this a try because I was just so tired of being in my own way :( Discovering that editors are not furious with me for daring to pitch them, has improved my confidence. The presentations and exercises were great and Amber, you are just so reassuring."

Hello, I used to hate marketing

Also, I'm Amber Petty. I've written for the New York Times, Thrillist, Greatist, Bustle, MTV, IFC, and a bunch more (including Snooki’s blog, jealous?). Over the past 4 years, I've refined Masterpiece Marketing and other systems to help stop smart people from overthinking and actually share their superior work with the world.

More importantly, I’ve worked with over 1000 clients and helped them get bylines in Huffington Post, Vox, Vulture, the Washington Post, Thrillist, Insider, Buzzfeed, the Wall Street Journal, and a whole bunch more. And I've worked with hundreds of clients to start newsletters, grow their audience, and promote their work without feeling gross about it.

In late 2020, I offered a free workshop and started a newsletter. I had 77 people on my list and that was enough the keep me writing every week.

In January 2021, I launched my first course. By the end of that year, I left my copywriting job and doubled what I made.

Since then, I've made $822,000 and have a newsletter with 11,000 subscribers.

And I used to the the person that would rather stab herself in the eye that promote anything I did.

Which meant I had multiple failed newsletters, a failed business, and shows to an audience of one. Literally one person. Who left before the show was over.

Finally, I let marketing be an extension of my creativity. A place to show my weird self.
I didn't get booed off the internet stage. People responded. My audience grew.
Everything that got me mocked in high school, now made me money.

Growing an audience is miraculous. It lets you create whatever you want: book, offer, retreat, etc. And there are already people there ready to buy.

That's creative freedom.

True control of your creative life - no gatekeepers required.

It's already happen for me and lots of my clients.

You're next.

...And Sara Murphy

Sara runs the co-working sessions and one Wednesday call a month. She takes care of pitch feedback, which is so lucky for you!

In addition to being a literal lit scholar, Sara is a regular writer for the New York Times and has also written for the Guardian, the Washington Post, Smithsonian, National Geographic, and more.

Sara is a working journalist and editor who graces us with her presence (Sara did not write, this by the way, these are my personal feelings) and adds insights into what's going on in the industry right now.

That way, you get the most up to date information and a second opinion. Sara brings her insights as a managing editor and expertise to make your work even better.

Happy words from Headliners...

I joined in January of 2024 and had zero bylines and a whole host of reasons why I wasn't ready to publish. After joining HH, I finally reached out to an editor at Harvard Business Review. Since then, I've published three articles in HBR (my dream publication) and two in Business Insider Starting. This summer, I finally stopped TALKING ABOUT writing my book and hired a book coach to put together a 70-page book proposal that I'm ready to shop out to agents.    None of this would have happened without Amber. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

-Carole Ann

Gaining more confidence and knowledge with each session. Headliner House is like having an encouraging best friend who offers weekly accountability. Even though it's virtual I feel like I've been served a delicious and comforting muffin.

- frayn masters

Besides the personalized feedback from Amber and Sara, the camaraderie is very inspiring! I love hearing other people's pitches, their challenges, and their yays. Since I started, I've been publishing a consistent newsletter with 325 readers and a good open rate, and landed a spot on a podcast talking about death.

-T.J. Ford

It's an hour of creativity and collaboration. Hearing the contributions of those participating helps sharpen and hone my own writing.
So many good questions and responses come up in the sessions that my writing efforts are invigorated. I look forward to the sessions every week.

-Mary Sullivan

"Writing can be a lonely venture!
The Headliner House community offers a way for creatives from across the country (and world!) to celebrate successes, commiserate on the inevitable rejections and share insights that would be hard to get otherwise. And the accountability is HUGE!
Just putting out my intentions is so helpful as it makes me want to follow through and not let them (or myself!) down.

- Laura Niebauer

Frequently Asked Questions

The main session is every Wednesday at Noon PT/ 3pm ET/ 8pm UK for 60 minutes.
Supremes and VIPs also get a call one Saturday a month at 10am PT/ 1pm ET/ 6pm UK.These are typically 1.5 - 2 hours, or longer if you need more support

Every Friday at 8am PT/ 11am ET/ 4pm UK. These are hosted by Sara Murphy.

Telegram is a free app that lets you send voice and text notes. It's nice because you can get feedback,  help from the group, or coaching whenever. It's asynchronous, so ask a question doing the dishes and listen to the response while shopping for sequin tops you don't need (that might be specific to me, but you get it). If you're a Supreme or VIP, it might even replace scrolling through Instagram.

No! Headliner House is meant to go with your busy life. Use it to make marketing a regular part of your week, but if you have to miss a call that's fine. You can always watch the replays.

It's all on Zoom and email. We'll meet live on Zoom and I'll send reminders via email.
Supremes and VIPs also have access to a Telegram group.

Headliner House has lots of group support and accountability. VIP has one on one support. Notes on all your copy. Business coaching every week (without an extra call on the calendar). If you want to grow fast, VIP is the way to go.

Yes! Though, I recommend you commit for at least 3 months to really see results. But, if the House isn't your cup of tea, just email me at amber@amberpetty.com and you won't be charged again.

No! I don't have an agent, so I'd be of no use. I also can't help you query a book. But I can help you build a big platform so that agents and publishers are much more interested in reading that query.

No! All the videos will be recorded and sent to you right after the live. Also, every level has asynchronous Q&A or feedback which you can listen to anytime you like.

Yes! There are lots of members in the UK, Europe, and Australia. The tools and pitching opportunities work wherever you are in the world and there are recordings and asynchronous options if the timing isn't right to go live.

No! If you want to cancel you Headliner House membership just send an email to Amber@Amberpetty.com and you won't be charged again. But there are no refunds otherwise.
