Show off your weird business!
If you have a creative business and most marketing/business talk bores the hell out of you and/or feels like corporate garbage...

Welcome to Weird Girl Show & Tell!
Open to all genders, it's just fun to say weird girl.

This 60-90 minute online soiree is an actual conversation between interesting humans bringing delightful things into the world.
You'll get to share your business and talk about what's feeling hard right now.
I'll give suggestions for unusual promotions, copy tweaks, and
messaging that fits
your business.
The words "post more" or "just use AI" will not be said.

Yes, you'll get tools to unleash your wildest ideas and boost business.

Most importantly, we'll have a cool space with fascinating people who want to do things differently.

Who are all tired of Instagram posing. Pivoting to video to please Zuck. Getting stuck with 10,000 ideas and only a few hours a day to do them.

You make amazing things and deserve to get paid well.

Let's talk about to do that without being an asshole.

At the last show & tell, most people left with new connections, coffee dates made, and possible collabs. One woman got 2 podcast spots the next day.  Just from a Zoom call.

Weird Girl Show & Tell will NOT have:

  • Elevator pitches: I hate them and think they're a waste of time. Plus, you're all too interesting for this. You get to see each others work in the chat and through the conversation
  • Everyone introducing themselves: As cool as you are, hearing 50 people do 2 minutes on their biz gets dull. And no one remembers any of it. You'll connect in the chat, get full contact info for everyone that came, and get to know members without an hour of "hello, I'm from..." Last time, so many people left with new connections. Just from the chat!
  • Breakout Rooms - I've never been in a breakout room that didn't make me break out into a sweat like my 2nd grade crush found my diary. We're taking the awkwardness out of networking. You won't get to have small group convos, but skipping 5 minutes of "well, I guess I'll go..." will not rob you of friendships.
We get to know each other through rants, business questions, and requests for collabs.

Who's hosting this?

Me! Amber Petty. For 5 years, I've run a 6-figure business and grown my email list to 12,000 while helping interesting, smart, kind people get more attention for their work.

Thousands of clients have gotten into big publications (New York Times, the New Yorker, Huffington Post, Business Insider, lots more). Grown their audience (think hundreds of new email subscribers). And created digital products in the time it takes to usually takes to simply decide on if you want to make a new offer or not.

My background isn't in business or advertising. It's in musical theater and improv comedy. Not careers known for their vast wealth and popularity.

But I went from wanting to stab myself in the eye anytime I had to promote my work, to infusing my personality and creativity into all my marketing.

Which made marketing part of my art. Which made it consistent. Which grew my audience and now means I'll always have someone ready to buy anytime I come out with a new digital product, course, coaching offer, or book.

That's creative freedom.

That's why I care so much about marketing and want to help all the creative weirdos shine and make Mel Robbins money.
